ooVoo wanted to launch a Mac version and I was hired to design the UX and UI.

The challenge

ooVoo was a video chat application 10 years ago. A strong competitor to Skype. They had a Windows app which was very messy, with lots of popups and dialogs. There was no consistency or UI guidelines, which turned out to be an advantage as it was clear that everything needed to be designed from scratch.
